I stayed up until like 3am here in my hotel room in Atlanta working on an amazing video with Matt & Eric for our Job Crusher launch.  We shared some secret tactics and revealed a lot of what we actually do in our own businesses. But… disaster struck!  There were some technical problems and the video is unusable! And to make matters worse… we’re right in the middle of our launch. What a mess! I got some square tissue boxes, made holes in the side and connected them together with toilet roll tubes.. it made him a nice little tunnel/maze.

I have a small house, but intend to keep my hamster in my room. I would build a little playground for him to get his excersize, and I am fully capable of taking care of the hamster. But I have a few roadbumb questions:
- Are hamsters very smelly, loud, or aggresive?
- Will it do fine shut in my room when I’m at school?
- DO hamsters require a big cage?
- And finally, do they cost alot to care for?

Oh, and does anyone have a good hamster care website? This, aside from my fish, would be my first (onmyown) pet.

Hello! My fiance just got a male hamster. Mine’s a female, and we are considering breeding them because they are both from good bloodlines and would produce quality offspring. Also, they seem to actually like each other instead of trying to each one another. However, before we breed them, I would like to know what to do with the babies when they’re old enough to be separated from their mother. Pet store? Humane Society? Newspaper? I have no idea. Thanks!

Go to (www.petfinder.com). Also, find friends to give them to, because the parents and the kids could see each other. Before you sell the offsprings, take them to the vet to make sure thier healthy. A humane society is a good idea, but when you go to the place, look around. Make sure it’s a good enviorment where you will think they would be safe. The newspaper is also a good idea, but if they stay with you, you could get to attched to them and not want to give them up.

I would not recomend this cage . Its safe if your carful but if your getting it for little kids it might brake.

I *think* they are two for £7.50, or like £4.50 each (for both breeds)….remember sometimes Russian hamsters don’t get along, so you will need to be prepared to separate if there is any serious fighting or injuries.

If not neosporin, is there anything else i can do? I don’t really have money for the vet right now, but i don’t want to keep my hammy alive if she’s suffering. Anyone got any suggestions?

Your hamster might have Mites. The baldness can be due to scratching. Maybe go to your local pet store, and ask a couple questions. Describe your pets ailments and they might know what it is and how to help. Good luck!

Your hamster might have Mites. The baldness can be due to scratching. Maybe go to your local pet store, and ask a couple questions. Describe your pets ailments and they might know what it is and how to help. Good luck!

Ramps
Ramps are perhaps the simplest thing you can make your hamster. They require a minimum amount of work and skill yet they are great ways to provide your hamster with a way to reach a high platform in its cage.
Materials:
– wood – approximately 10 cm wide, fairly thin (depth);
– any length
– saw
– sandpaper
Procedure:
1. Take your piece of wood and sand any rough areas and remove splinters.

2. Cut slits 1 or 2 mm deep every centimetre along the wood; this will serve as grip for your hamster.

Your ramp is now done! Lean it up against a high platform for your hamster to use it. If your hamster tends to knock it down often, tie it to the platform with a piece of string or wire by drilling a hole in the platform and at the top of the ramp.

Coconut Home
Coconut homes are comfortable and natural homes for hamsters. They’re sold in most stores, but are usually rather small and expensive for what they are, especially since they can be made easily.

Materials:
- medium to small sized coconut to suit your hamster
- knife
- drill
- drill bit that drills a hole approx. 5 cm (2 in) diameter, or to suit your hamster (key hole drill bits work well)
- sandpaper

Procedure:
1. Drain or suck the liquid out of the coconut by making 2 small holes in it with the knife (one to let the air in, the other to drain the liquid).
2. Set the coconut down on a table. Mark out a spot for the entrance that your hamster will be able to easily reach (be sure that the entrance won’t get covered if the coconut rolls over).
3. Drill the 5 cm (2 in) diameter hole where you have marked the entrance to be.
4. Scoop out the coconut flesh.
5. Eat what you’ve scooped out!
6. Wash out the inside of the coconut and sand the edges of the hole if necessary.

You’re finished! Fill the coconut with shavings and a pinch of food to encourage your hamster to use it.
