After I do the weekly deep cleaning of the hamsters cage should I put the things in there original places or can I rearrange them?

you can rearrange them if you like
you are changing the bedding and everything so there is no sense of ‘home’ left anyways

rearranging thier toys and stuff every now and then will keep them entertained and active :)

I just got 2 baby teddy bear hamsters for my daughters. The hamsters are from the same litter, and both are female and not quite 6 weeks old yet. They’re currently sharing a cage, and get along fine. Is it ok for them to continue sharing a cage or do they each need their own? If I need 2 separate cages, at what age should I seperate the hamsters? Thanks!

my boyfriend is about to get a hamster and he is trying to figure out how to decorate the cage. He wants to know if it is safe to put aquarium decorations in his cage. We don’t want the hamster to get sick or chip any teeth if he chews on one of the aquarium decorations.

You could always purchase a wheel for him to run on those are colorful and relatively inexpensive. Also there are some logs made out of alfalfa that they can chew on, so not only can they play and hide, they can chew without causing any harm. Those are also inexpensive. :D

Yea a lot of aquarium things are made out of ceramics that are painted with paint that might be toxic if consumed. Chips of ceramic are not healthy either. Also plastic things are not healthy either. Which rodents will consume.

I see this a lot in different pet stores they sell 2 hamsters for like a 10 gallon tank and don’t tell the people that hamsters fight and they will need another cage? Thanks

because they probably just want a better profit, and if the hamsters fight then it’s usually not much of a concern to them unfortunately :(

yes use plenty of dish soap and plent of water put your hamster in a little box if you have one or the ball where it can roll around

I am thinking of getting a hamster but I don’t know what cage to buy. I am thinking of a wire cage with a plastic bottom. The hamster I am getting is a syrian hamster. I need one that has a lot of room for accessories.Is it best to go for the biggest that I can afford.

hamsters are little Houdinis and they can escape form the tiniest places. you need a safe cage that is hard to escape form lol.
any hamster cage on petsmart.com is good
