After seperating the male and female hamster babies, the dad jumps on the males and naws on them, and its kind of scary. Should we just put the males in a seperate cage all together?

Yeah she ate one it was sad and by the time i came home she was already down to the legs :,( hope it wasnt a female cuz then i’ll feel worse. She still has about 7 or 6 left and my friend shayla and kyra (twins) want 2. My friend from school wants 1 i want 2. So they will all have good homes and this is the first sucsesfull litter iv ever had. Im trying to be a part time hamster breeder when i turn 18 and i have most of my smarts for hamsters done ^.^ if you want a baby from the next litter, (the female will be calico short hair) i’ll put the ones for sale up. I have 6 baby dwarf hamsters and I need to know if there boys or girls so i can sell them. How can you tell if they are girls and boys cause I looked at there parts and they all look the same!They cant all possibly be girls…

I have some hamster babies and i need help with cages.?

Question by rat lover 32 32: I have some hamster babies and i need help with cages.?
I have to give away my five hamster babies ( they were a surprise litter). I have 2 friends who can take them, but only if i can give them cages. My price range is about 20-30 dollars per cage. I am going to Petsmart today so if you have a cage from petsmart that you think is good for dwarf hamsters please give me a recommendation.

Hello,
It seems you have a little dilemma. I recomend the cheapest cage, that is still a good safe cage. That’s kid of vague. I think this http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2753299 cage is a good choice. It says it is for rats, but it would work just as well or better for hamsters. It is cheap(cheaper than most). They this one. Another suggestion is to call a small pet store and ask if they buy hamsters from individual breeders. If they do you can sell your babies to them.

Roborovski Hamster Babies Day 10

Day 10! Now the babies are fully furred and dark pigment growing on their ears. SO CUTE. They look like little peanuts with big heads and tiny bodies! All there’s left is their eyes to open and they will look like mini robo hamsters! Their eyes should open in less than a week. HOW EXCITING. My mommy robo (bon bon) was being a party pooper and trying to hide the babies but we all know that these babies LOVE the camera! :D Stay tuned for a hamster supply give-away!
