I heard Vinegar is really good for cleaning and disinfecting hamster cages and tanks. I have a 20 gallon tank and It’s really hard to clean. Is it safe to use. What happens if the Hamster licks some. I have a Russian Dwarf Hamster. Do I have to mix the vinegar with water, and how much do I mix?

i dont think you should use vinegar. A good and easy way to clean a cage is wash it in warm soapy water.

Use a mixture of 50% vinegar and 50% water. Just spray/pour it in the cage and wipe it off. If there are pee spots or though spots let it sit for a while then wipe away the stain. Vinegar is safe so the hamster will be fine is he/she licks it.

Vinegar doesn`t clean a hamster cage, it gets rid of the smells. Use dish soap and put a bit in it and mix it around. Dont use vinegar.
