I have a female hamster free to good home. she loves to be in her ball roaming and she does not bite.. shes very fast so when u hold her you have to have a good grip on her. im sure if you hold her enough she will start to calm down.. i bought her for my son and he is VERY allergic to her so we need to find her a good home. I have an approximant 5 month old female Syrian (teddy/short-haired) hamster. I rescued her from becoming snake food, but I can't keep her. She is very sweet. She does still need some work, but you can pick her up and pick her up. She would make a great pet for a small child. You just have to teach them that she is not a toy. She does need to be handled gently and on a daily basis in order to stay friendly. She CANNOT be housed with any other hamster or animal. Syrian hamsters DO NOT get along with other hamsters. They WILL fight to the death. She was housed for a short time with her brother (also for adoption) and she attacked him. They are very sweet hamsters with humans; they just don't like other hamsters. Her adoption fee is $10. I'm not trying to make money on her; the adoption fee will be donated to a shelter. But there is an adoption fee to make sure she does not become snake food. NO BREEDING!!! Also remember Syrian hamster can live about 5 years (2-3 being the average) with the proper care. Please be prepared to provide proper care for her for the rest of her life. I'm willing to give you all the information needed on the proper care of Syrian hamsters if you don't know much about them. They are great first time pets. I will not just give her to anyone. Please email me with any questions. And please include in your email your name, age, and give a short description on how she will be taken care of (brand of food, kind of bedding etc.). I'm searching for a medium-sized small animal cage for a hamster, preferably with a tubes and/or a couple of levels. I have a very active hamster who I don't think is very happy in her current cage (pic attached). The cage you're selling doesn't have to be new or in great shape, just good enough that she can't get out! :) My present cage is in excellent shape, so if you'd be interested, I'm open to a trade, and/or paying you more in addition for yours (I'd like to keep the accessories, though). Hi. We a start up animal rescue focusing on rabbits and other small animals. If you or anyone you know in Wayne County has any of the items below that they are willing to donate please send us an email and we will arrange to come pick it up. We need: - Animal playpens - Animal travel carriers - Large cat like litter pans (not the kind with the enclosed lid) - Unbreakable Bowls, LARGE water bowls or LARGE bottles - Linens, sheets, pillow cases, table cloths, blankets, towels, etc. Baby crib sheets, receiving blankets, bumper pads, absorbant washable pads - Any kind of baby hard plastic baby toys like keys, tub toys, balls, hard plastic trucks and mobiles (you'd be surprised what they play with) - Paper towels - Animal kibble (rabbit, guinea pig, hamster, etc) or Baby food - Any kind of first aid supplies (coban, peroxide, q-tips, bandages, ear or eye saline wash) -- Any kind of material, yarn or crafting materials (we have crafters that make things for us to auction off to raise funds) -- Oops or left over paint (if you have painted a room recently and have extra paint we'd love to have it. We have a few areas to repaint for the bunnies and some of our volunteers make crafts to help earn $$ for the rescue) We are also looking for any independent contractors to help us get the room for our new rescue built. If you are an electrician, rough in carpenter, framer, maybe a plumber, window/door person, drywall finisher.... WE NEED YOU!!! I have one female gerbil. She is about a year old. I rescued her from becoming snake food, but I can't keep her. She is a Burmese/Siamese. She is very cute and friendly. She is still a little jumpy and will need someone to work with him. She will let me pet her, but she was not handled very much before I got her. I try to work with her every day, but I'm not much of a gerbil person and I'm always scared she will get away from me. They are not the best pets for small children because they are very fast and can easily escape a small child's hand. She will not be adoptable until May 19th. She is on a pregnancy watch. She is most likely NOT pregnant. She was housed with a male, but she is not fat, not nesting and the lady I got her from said she had not been having babies. But just to be on the safe side, I will be fostering her until then. You can email me and I can hold her for you and contact you on May 19th and let you know one way or the other if she is pregnant. I was planning on putting her in with the other female I had gotten but unfortunately the other one passed away before I can the chance. :( I'm looking for a home for her with another female gerbil only.
