I’ve decided to get a Winter White hamster (2 of them) but first i wanna know if they can be kept in the same cage together. If i don’t get a White Winter, can dwarf hamsters be put together in the same cage?

why not? im sure that if you raise themup together from babies they should be fine!

    Hamsters are solitary creatures and live alone in the wild. If forced to be together in one small cage they will often fight to the death, or at least fight bloody battles. They are only housed together at the store because they are in large groups and because they are often young siblings.

    Only dwarf hamsters can live together ie: Dwarf Campbell Russian Hamsters, Dwarf Winter White Russian Hamsters and Roborovski Hamsters. Check out this page http://www.hamster-club.com/varieties.asp – it might help you with more detail about the various types of hamsters.

    Also, only dwarf hamsters of the same type should be housed together and species cannot be mixed since there will be fighting.

    yes winter whites can be kept in pairs but i would suggest buying them from the same cage or bin so you know they have been together
